微软在 iOS 和 Android 操作系统上发布了它的新浏览器 Edge，但并没有使用自己的渲染引擎。Edge 是 Windows 10 默认使用的浏览器，用于替代上一代臭名昭著的 IE 。在 iOS 上不使用自己的渲染引擎能理解，因为这是苹果不允许，但微软在 Android 上也没有使用自己的引擎，而是使用 Google 开源浏览器项目 Chromium 的渲染引擎 Blink，在 iOS 则是使用 WebKit 引擎。
