DZM-15S型全自动中药制丸机是在DZM-15原有机型上改进而来，在继承了原有的特点之外，还做了很大一部分的改进，其中最大的两个看点便是免引条和免酒精防粘了，老款机型在挤压出条后首次需要用手将药条搭上传动滚轮然后再搓丸，老款机型是从侧面下料，新款机型则是从搓丸轴的上面直接下料，免去了用手接触丸条，这样相对来说要卫生一些；
