2018年2月12日，广东省高级人民法院对揭阳女学生蔡某某遭电信诈骗案做出二审判决：驳回陈明慧、范治杰、高学忠、叶奇锋、熊运江等5名诈骗主犯的上诉，维持原判。之前，因骗光准大学生蔡某某1万元学费导致后者跳海自尽，5被告中首犯一审被判无期徒刑
