在11月中旬发布的iOS11.2测试版中，苹果加入了7.5W快充功能。而在此前，新一代iPhone的无线充电功能仅支持5W功率。随后，进一步的消息显示，来自中国的工程师已经成功破解了苹果7.5W无线快充，使用自研15W发射功率发无线充电发射板，录得发射端输入电压电流高达9.14V、1.46A，也就是发射端功率达到13.4W。
