Infinix Note 40 5G is on the way with Dimensity 7020 chipset

Infinix already has four devices in its Note 40 line - the Note 40, Note 40 Pro, Note 40 Pro 4G, and Note 40 Pro+. But four isn't enough, and so the company is working on a fifth member of the family - the Note 40 5G. This handset has been spotted in the Google Play Console and it's also been certified by the FCC, Wi-Fi Alliance and BIS, and it's even run Geekbench already.

There's a lot to unpack, therefore, so let's get started. The Note 40 that was launched back in March is 4G-only, being powered by MediaTek's Helio G99 Ultimate SoC. The Note 40 5G, on the other hand, goes with the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset which is 5G-capable.

This will be paired with 8GB of RAM in one version, but there could be more memory amounts available in other variants. The phone will run Android 14 out of the box. In Geekbench 6, it managed an 802 single-core score and a 2,032 multi-core score.

The Note 40 5G has a screen with a resolution of 1080x2436, and a pixel density of 480ppi. It supports dual-band Wi-Fi, and has a 5,000 mAh battery. Its design should be similar to that of its Note 40 siblings, unsurprisingly, and there will be three cameras on the rear but details about these haven't been outed yet.
