Hi Community,

The 1H 2024 release is here!

A new set of enhancements has been released in the 1H 2024 release that has been eagerly awaited. The SAP SuccessFactors 1H 2024 Release includes some key features and enhancements, so let's take a closer look!

1- Exclude Deleted Forms' Ratings from Matrix Grid Reports:

As an admin, now you can prevent ratings in deleted forms from being used to generate the Performance & Potential or How vs. What matrix grid report in Succession planning.

To exclude the rating, the admin can select Exclude deleted forms when retrieving ratings in one or both of the following admin tools:

  • Matrix Grid Reports: Performance-Potential
  • Matrix Grid Reports: How vs. What

Enablement: Customer configured

Configuration Requirements:

This feature is only available in the matrix grid reports in Succession. Therefore, even if you select Exclude deleted forms when retrieving ratings, ratings of deleted forms are still shown on the Performance-Potential and How vs What matrix grids in People Profile.

Role-Based Permission Prerequisites:

  • Administrator Permissions>Manage Succession>Performance-Potential Configuration
  • Administrator Permissions>Manage Succession>How vs. What Configuration

2- Validation for Permanently Deleting Positions or Talent Pools with Nomination Records:

If any employee has ever been nominated to a position or talent pool in Succession, this position or talent pool can't be permanently deleted using the Manage Positions or Manage Data admin tool.

Previously, you could use the tools to permanently delete such a position or talent pool. Now, when you try to delete it, an error message displays.

If you need to permanently delete a position or talent pool that has nomination records, you can purge it in Data Retention Management using the purge request type Purge Non-Sensitive MDF Business Data.

Enablement: Automatically on

Configuration Requirements:

  • Enable MDF position-based nomination method.

Here are just a few of the changes included in the latest release. For a detailed release summary, check out the “What’s New Viewer” for a list of enhancements across the application.
