Dear Customer,
It seems that there is no specific guide for MaxDB. Please see the following general steps and useful notes:
- Install the DAA Agent and SAP Host Agent on the Max DB servers.

1031096 - Installing Package SAPHOSTAGENT - Connect the DAA Agent to SAP Solution Manager.
2385361 - How to connect Diagnostics Agent to SAP Solution Manager 7.2 system - Ensure that the Outside Discovery DAA Agent process is running correctly locally on the host.
1992342 - How to troubleshoot the Outside Discovery issues about Database
Or it is also suggested to switch to the Outside Discovery SAP Host Agent to avoid known issues.
