在华为Pocket 2发布会的尾声，余承东宣布了鸿蒙系统今年秋天的重大更新。据预估， Pocket 2手机的性能将提升30%。余承东还表示，当原生应用数量足够时，所有华为手机的用户体验都会大幅度提升。华为手机官方微博也发布了消息，“2024年，新起点，再出发”。
根据此前公布的信息，基于开源鸿蒙开发的HarmonyOS NEXT鸿蒙星河版将于今年秋天正式推出消费者版本。在1月18日举行的鸿蒙生态千帆启航仪式上，华为宣布HarmonyOS NEXT鸿蒙星河版系统开发者预览版开放申请，并将在第二季度启动开发者Beta计划，第四季度发布商用版本。
