TrustCloud automates governance, risk and compliance with AI-powered custom frameworks

Trust assurance company TrustCloud Corp. is bringing artificial intelligence into the world of compliance automation.

Today, it announced the availability of a new, AI-powered offering called Custom Frameworks, together with new evidence-collection integrations and an expanded application programming interface. According to the company, the new capabilities will enable customers to enhance their security posture in a more flexible and efficient way.

TrustCloud is the creator of an integrated compliance platform that can be used by companies to automate compliance control verification and achieve privacy and compliance audit readiness. It provides AI tools for answering security questionnaires, and gives companies a simple way to invite their customers to transparently view their security and compliance programs.

As organizations grow and mature, they often find themselves needing to adhere to new standards, regulations and contract requirements, the company explained. With Custom Frameworks, organizations now have an efficient and cost-effective way to create customized compliance frameworks based on very specific requirements.

The offering relies on AI to generate new controls and policies, and maps their existing ones to new frameworks. Essentially, it provides companies with a simple, automated way to meet their expanding compliance needs, eliminating the need to develop frameworks manually.

One of the most time-consuming and error-prone aspects of creating a new compliance framework is evidence collection. With TrustCloud, companies now have a way to automate this process too. They can instantly synchronize their compliance program to more than 100 popular software services and applications, including DataDog, Jira and Snyk, to perform the collection of evidence for compliance certification, and continuous control testing. These integrations are simplified by TrustCloud’s updated API, which can also be used to build integrations with other tools and systems, including on-premises software.

Founder and Chief Executive Sravish Sridhar said many companies still struggle with inflexible, manual check-the-box compliance vendors that create lots of headaches and raise the cost of maintaining a governance, risk and compliance program.

“With our latest releases, TrustCloud customers can transform their legacy GRC programs and improve their security and privacy posture, allowing them to save time and money, support the sales process, and lower their financial and contractual liability,” Sridhar said. “By using AI and APIs to create efficiencies, accelerate revenue and decrease risk and liabilities, TrustCloud upgrades GRC to a profit center.”
