据 TechCrunch 报道，5 月 23 日，a16z 支持的 AI 初创公司 Character.AI 推出移动应用程序，在推出不到一周时间里，该医用已吸引超过 170 万的新安装。据悉，该 AI 聊天机器人平台的移动版在全球范围内向 iOS 和安卓用户推出，尤其是在 Google Play 上表现强劲。在最初的 48 小时内，该应用的安卓安装量超过了 70 万次，使其超过了 Netflix、Disney+ 和 Prime Video 等顶级娱乐应用。
Character.AI 称，在该应用推出之前，Character.AI 的网络应用每月访问量超过 2 亿次，用户每次访问平均花费 29 分钟，该公司称这一数字比 ChatGPT 高出 300%。
此前报道，AI 初创企业 Character.AI 获 a16z 领投的 1.5 亿美元融资。
