Is it necessary to convert t-mobile varient into global varient, before flashing custom rom?
I am glad you managed to at least get back to a working phone. My dance with the OnePlus sent me to the Pixel 7 Pro and then after having my screen replaced twice and the third starting to flicker as well, I went to the S23 Ultra. I miss root a little but the only feature I really need is the ability to run Network Signal Guru so I just use the Pixel for that as I only need it for a few seconds to check the QCI of SIM cards so I've been pretty happy.

I am not a G1 OG because I was on Sprint but I got the second Android phone, the HTC Hero, after years of being on Windows Mobile and yeah, we are a long way from the days of being able to easily get full control of our devices to do as we please.

The Fairphone is interesting but with a Qualcomm 750G SoC and incomplete US carrier band support, it's a non-starter for me. I use all three carriers and the bands on the Fairphone 4 are only optimized for T-Mobile usage (all bands are supported except for B66/n66, n25, and mmWave).

Lmao sorry for necro posting but you helped me bring my oneplus phone back to life im on the first page of this thread, second post. I always see how active you are in the community and i started to think "damn this guy owns like every phone out there or something.. I go from my piece of **** oneplus 9 to the Pixel 7 Pro (through google fi promo) (also had the screen replaced twice and phone replaced once), and I see you in the P7P posts all the time, and I'm so fed up with the curved glass bull**** that I have been searching the past week to switch to the S23 Ultra.. Are you, me? I sense a Fight Club scene coming on right now.. hahahhaha. Weird, I must say.
