When I design, I always want to see how my UI holds up when real data is applied. It's in this step that I pick up on on potential design issues that would otherwise go unnoticed with basic placeholder text. The problem is there's no easy way to source and apply this data. Sure, I could use another data population plugin that has a set of random names or emails, but when I need to fill my designs with 12 different data points about a user, there's no easy way to do so. Going layer by layer manually inputting data and switching categories gets old fast. And what if I'm building a movie recommendation app, or a company database, or a job search website, or a flight deals site, or a weather app?
I created Populate to solve these pain points that I'm sure many designers out there resonate with. With tons of categories, each with several unique properties, this plugin allows you to fill your designs with real (matching!) data in seconds.
