Hi ProductHunters! I am the maker of ChatUML.

This is the tool I made to help make it more fun to work with diagrams. It can be used as a brainstorming medium where you can describe your problem in natural language and let LLM develop it into a more detailed scenario.

Imagine you want to build a payment system but have no idea how a payment system works. You can just type something like:

“Generate a diagram for a payment system to use with an online book store”

After that, you can ask some follow-up questions to expand the diagram, convert it to a different type, or you can use the code editor to edit the diagram as you wish (it’s using PlantUML format).

I hope you find it helpful, any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

You might be onto something! Converting something that can be pretty boring (making UML diagrams - takes me back to school brr) into something more entertaining, especially for 1-people tech teams or solo makers who don't have colleagues to bounce such ideas with.

I believe there's a lot of value in the process of making the diagrams. It raises questions, forces you to understand the business problem or the layers of a system better. In that sense it's a good thing that your tool is designed around a conversation rather than a once-off: "tell me what you need and I'll give you the final diagram immediately".

Congrats on the launch and good luck!

@gael_de_mondragon Thank you so much!!! My vision for this project is to change people's mind about utilizing diagrams for designing software, not just something we have to do at school but into something we want to do to because it's both fun and help improve the process of making software (that's a long shot, but i'm slowly making it to become true, I hope :D)
Very nice use case with AI, I had a friend complaint about making diagrams as well. All the best with the launch Huy
So need this!. FTUX could be better IMO. Just a quick sandbox to test would do wonders. ATM I'm met with a popup offering signup that I can't click exit on to learn more about the service.
@eonpilot Thank you for the feedback! Yes, currently I'm going with an alternative approach that let the user explore the product by actually using instead of a landing page. The sign up process is quick. But yes, this need to be updated to make it easier for the users to explore without signing up.
