德国光学显示公司 OQmented 日前宣布完成 2000 万美元 A 轮融资。在新一轮融资中，除 Salvia、Vsquared Ventures 等现有投资者外，夏普作为战略投资者也参与其中。
据悉，OQmented 由 Thomas von Wantoch 和 Ulrich Hofmann 博士于 2018 年创立，旨在开发用于 AR 设备的超紧凑型 MEMS 激光束扫描投影显示系统。该公司已发展成为一支约 80 人的团队，在全球设有五个办事处，并计划扩大办公室和实验室空间。此外，OQmented 计划雇用几名关键员工，并加强其业务开发团队，以进入美国和亚洲市场。
该公司利用激光束扫描开发了基于 MEMS 的超紧凑型光引擎产品。与市面上其他方案相比，该技术具有几个优势：更低的功耗、更小的尺寸、更高的亮度和对比度，以及卓越的显示性能。这些都是对轻型消费级 AR 眼镜的要求，适合户外使用。
此次融资巩固了 OQmented 的战略，即提供完整的光引擎作为即插即用解决方案，随时可以集成。
