Sexual abuse tip-off site could be sharing data with Facebook

  • Children's rights organisation ECPAT receives tips on the sexual exploitation of children but might have also shared contact details of the people who gave the tip-offs with Facebook.

  • Swedish Radio News reporters have tested the tip-form on ECPAT's website and found that their name, email and telephone numbers were shared with Facebook.

  • ECPAT denies any wrongdoing but has since turned off Facebook's tracking tool. Facebook has not commented on what they do with the data collected.
