Create Purchase Requisition(ME51N) - Cannot Manually Select Valuation Type, Field Missing

Just as the title says. When creating a PR the system is automatically selecting an incorrect valuation type. For other users there is a field to manually select val type in the material data tab however for me this field does not appear. Not sure if this is a roles issue, software, or otherwise. Any help would be greatly appreciated
