Yes, Qualcomm charges a very high fee, and last year red rice K50 was criticized by Qualcomm for using MediaTek chips and even executives were punished
Tech websites mainly for Samsung what I've seen except on launch day. Those are relatively cheap. The world cup is the most expensive advertisment venue that exists (Superbowl is a single evening). I live in Taiwan over winter and vivo had much more adverts here vs s23U and that with the x90pro and x90 basically not sold anywhere and list price for x90 pro being more than s23plus which is ridiculous.

And during that time they even plastered tv stations for 3 weeks all while the device wasn't even available (only preorder in China)...

If vivo wouldn't belong to BBK I would have expected them to go bankrupt on that campaign seeing their market share which is mainly made up by budget phones in India and China..
And vivo basically only sells phones (their audio products are a thing of the past). Xiaomi or Samsung sell your full household (Xiaomi in China only) so them advertising one product will give a lot of cross sells to other products...

Honor Magic5 Pro review

The Honor Magic5 Pro is yet another interesting flagship cameraphone to come to the global markets. It will be remembered for its unique design, premium...

The battery life is pretty bad. Kinda same drain as x90pp only that it has 10% better battery life due to 10% larger battery.
Why so far have all except Xiaomi 13 pro and S23u skipped out on fast connect 7800, and seemingly all but Samsung on x70. Has Qualcomm increased their prices so much? (I don't know what Motorola did. Their 8gen2 device has very little information outside China but it's very cheap so likely big compromises too).

But they clearly don't. Fast connect 7800 supports wifi 7 which most don't. that and ant+ is the difference to 6900. I know the press statements but the features clearly aren't supported. Those with wi-fi 6e maybe enable them later? X90PP doesn't even have 6e.

Tovi works has the absolute best reviews on YouTube for me. Too bad he doesn't extend them to software (except camera) and it's hardware only reviews.

The included case is just like I would like for x90pro+ but cannot find. Camera protection and airpockets in a small compact design (no portruding air pockets).

The cooling is super poor but it only matters if you gane (no one reported overheating from camera use yet). So for non gamers like me (and likely most x90pro plus buyers as for gaming others are still clearly better) it doesn't matter.
Camera clearly has some pros and cons (and yeah it's adapted right for dxomark testing - dxomark is objective but they allow sponsors to get their test protocol so they can optimize just for it. Which matters mainly for camera and display. The audio and battery is hard to design for the test without generally hitting.
