iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will get new cameras with more megapixels

The launch of Apple’s new series of smartphones is expected in September 2023, and even though the event is still several months away, rumors about the new models are already circulating on the internet. The latest rumor comes from a Twitter account known as Apple Hub. Which claims that the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will feature a new design in the rear camera module. This is due to the integration of a much-awaited 48-megapixel sensor.

According to the leaker, the base models of the iPhone 15 will have a Dynamic Island feature and a USB Type-C port with Lightning input speeds. The devices will also run the A16 Bionic processor and 6 GB of RAM.

In terms of advanced models, Apple Hub also mentions the integration of a periscope sensor, which will finally make its way into Apple devices. The iPhone 15 Pro will have a 6x optical zoom. While the 15 Pro Max will have a 10x optical zoom. The leaker also confirms the inclusion of Solid-State buttons in addition to Wi-Fi 6E wireless standard. And a USB Type-C input with Thunderbolt 3 speeds.

Apple is known for being conservative when it comes to changes in design, but the integration of a new sensor and Dynamic Island functionality in the base models are significant enough to prompt the brand to make changes to the smartphones. It seems that Apple will continue its strategy of launching multiple models in a new series of smartphones. As both the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will be available, along with the Pro Max model.
