FTC 要求法院暂停 Meta 收购 Within 的交易
近日，路透社消息称美国联邦贸易委员会（FTC）周二要求法官暂停 Meta 收购 VR 健身应用《 Supernatural 》开发商 Within Unlimited 的交易。在此之前，双方都等待法院的判决。
2021 年，扎克伯格和 Meta 首次表示有兴趣收购 Within Unlimited，这是其品牌重塑和首次大力推进所谓的元宇宙。从那时起，该公司已投资超过 100 亿美元，以实现其雄心勃勃的“人机交互的下一个时代”。
Meta 眼中的机会，FTC 却认为可能是巩固 Meta 目前所谓的垄断地位的重复收购类型。在 7 月下旬提起的诉讼中，FTC 指控 Meta 对 Within 的收购旨在垄断 VR 健身领域，并提升该公司自己的 VR 应用程序《 Beat Saber 》。该案于去年 12 月开庭审理。
此前，FTC 要求其停止收购 Within 的交易，并要求法官下达初步禁令。FTC 称，拥有 Facebook、Instagram、Messenger 和 WhatsApp 的 Meta 已是最大的 VR 设备供应商，Meta 和扎克伯格正计划通过收购上述健身应用来扩大 Meta 的 VR 帝国，这将减少市场竞争，并违反反垄断法。
FTC 现在要求法院命令 Meta 在法官就交易作出最终裁决后的第一个工作日太平洋时间 23：59 之前，不能完成对 Within 的收购交易。FTC 还在一份法庭文件中表示，法官可以将现有的临时禁令延长 7 天。
目前的临时禁令已于太平洋时间周二 23：59 到期。
