How can Side Effects be added for Custom Fields in standard Fiori Elements app?

Hello all!
I have extended a standard Fiori Elements application with custom fields (Custom Fields and Logic app + Metadata Extension).
The requirement is now to control the properties (visible/madatory/read-only) of one custom field depending on another custom fields value. This works currently only after save or refreshing the page, not at the moment when the first fields value was changed.
So I think this is what side effects are for...but how can I add side effects to a standard app (which gets it's metadata from a standard service) ?
