因暴雪与网易“分手”，《魔兽世界》等经典游戏国内即将停服，为了满足魔兽玩家的一些需求， 《逆水寒》此前曾宣布将在1月13日正式开放“网易魔兽老兵服”服务器， 接纳这些玩家。
今日，网易《逆水寒》官微发文，称距离魔兽老兵服开服仅剩4天，同时附上了一份“冒险指南”。目前，魔兽老兵服已开启预创角色。
据介绍，老兵服将包含宿命相逢、传说永恒、荣光不朽、远征再临、岁月如歌等8个服务器，
玩家现在可提前选定在老兵服中的性别、职业与捏脸。
根据《逆水寒》公告，“网易魔兽老兵服”将采取点卡收费模式， 每小时6毛钱，同时游戏支持点卡资费封顶模式， 每个月玩家在线超过90个小时，就会自动触发自费封顶，当月将不再扣除点卡。
