过年回老家，见父母的难题

谈了几年恋爱，都没有见过父母，这次过年刚好有机会见，就是带另一半见我父母。我父母我有心理预期，应该能接受，但我和另一半都是社恐，且都是沪漂打工人，相对于见父母来说其实内心都要更加害怕一点，且南北方也有一定的差异。
我们都处理人际关系比较笨拙，所以这第一次见面可能我们俩都会很紧张。相比于处理其他人际关系，过年这个节点回老家要考虑的事情比较多。比如过年就可能涉及人情，看望老一辈等问题。我爸妈希望我过年多在老家留几天，但是我们两个人一起回老家待太久了可能也不好。
我们该怎么处理这样的事情呢？
