在移动芯片市场，联发科已经保持了8个季度的第一，他们的满足感并不止于此。
在日前举办的一场峰会上， 联发科副总表示，PC是规模400亿美元的巨大市场，联发科计划涉足高功耗市场，将不少已经应用于手机的移动技术如5G、蓝牙、Wi-Fi、显示IC等带到PC平台上，和高通骁龙争高低。
副总还称，作为一项基础能力，他们会在CPU、GPU上做更大的投资。
事实上，如果把Chromebook归类到PC的话，那么联发科实际上已经入局，推出了Kompanio 520/528等芯片，但在Windows市场，还缺乏像高通那样丰富的产品。
