11月8-13日，第十四届中国国际航空航天博览会即2022珠海航展正式开幕，作为中国长征火箭有限公司的“拳头产品”，捷龙三号运载火箭公开亮相。
捷龙三号火箭2021年3月正式启动研制，目前首飞箭已完成总装、出厂测试和箭船合练，正式进入首飞阶段。
本次首飞，捷龙三号火箭将实现 海上冷发射到海上热发射 的跨越，逐步实现 由一次出海一次发射到一次出海多次发射 的能力提升。
按照官方说法，捷龙三号火箭将充分发挥生产制造发射一体化优势，大幅缩短发射链条，实现批量化、高频次发射。
