核心配置上，荣耀X40 GT采用6.81英寸LCD全面屏，分辨率为2388×1080，搭载高通骁龙888旗舰处理器，后置5000万主摄+200万景深+200万微距，前置1600万，电池为4800mAh，支持66W有线闪充。
值得注意的是，荣耀X40 GT最高配备了12GB内存，而且支持智慧内存引擎，可以扩展7GB，带来比肩19GB内存手机的体验。
此外，荣耀X40 GT采用13层立体散热神装、8层高性能石墨片、4000多平方毫米的VC散热装置，大幅提高散热效率，让骁龙888变身“冰龙”。
荣耀姜海荣介绍，通过GT级的散热设计和系统调校将其潜能充分释放，CPU最高主频达到2.84GHz，配合5纳米的先进制程工艺实现更高的能效比，LPDDR5高速运存和UFS 3.1高速存储加持，高速读写，更快一步。
更重要的是，荣耀X40 GT搭载了GPU Turbo X技术，GPU渲染性能大幅提升30%，重载游戏功耗下降6%。
