Pomo Productivity
A physical timer that blocks distracting websites
Distraction is unfair.
You might blame your lack of discipline, but you shouldn’t. It’s the strength of the algorithms, it’s their power to lure you in their endless feeds.
I present Pomo, a physical website blocker.
Hey makers!
I'm delighted to share Pomo with you.
In the past years I've struggled with staying focussed while working from home.
Distractions are just a click away (think: boring news articles on the rising gas prices, marketing emails from-that-shop-you-ordered-from-in-2012, Twitterfeeds filled with ads that deplete your dopamine)
I've tried all the digital alternatives like Opal, SelfControl and Screen Time. But for me personally I wanted to explore a physical solution. A way of commitment to focus, where you constantly see how long you still want to focus.
It's the marriage between visual timer ideas like the Time Timer / Pomodoro and distraction blockers like SelfControl.
I'm more than interested to hear your feedback.
