9 月 4 日，据福布斯报道，Meta 向十所大学赠送了数十台 VR Quest 耳机作为教学工具，获赠的大学将在今年举办虚拟课程，让部分学生在虚拟校园中学习。将在马里兰大学的生物学和天文学入门课程、南达科他州的有机化学和解剖学课程中使用这些设备。
Meta 发言人表示，“教育是元宇宙中具有意义的应用场景，元宇宙中的沉浸式学习将帮助世界各地的创作者获得元宇宙的技能，并为学习者创造身临其境的体验”。
