As for bricking the system i haven't seen anyone else have that issue as we have a lot of Russians who convert their units.
Even then you can always hook up a keyboard and factory reset it.

Not sure why radio changes aren't staying mine have, i turned on hd audio, changed frequencies and even turned on uvo telematics (doesnt work though i dont have a sim ) even changed the unit to hud+ (dunno if it makes a difference? it seems to load slower is all i noticed.)

Perhaps go into dealer mode first. system info (volume 7(tune) 3(tune) 1(tune) then 2400 and verify.

Thanks for reply. I know how to update and I have downloaded packages. My concern is can I, on US version of radio, run the update from SD card with European package? Are the Android systems the same?
Like I wrote I have package for US and for EU on my laptop and I can compare them, but I'm not a developer, so I don't know what to look for.

I will also try this other 7-3-1 method to enter the mode.

Hello all! A very long thread here with no combined info in one place.
Read almost half of the pages and still couldn't confirm on what I was looking here for.

I just have bought a 2022 Hyundai i30 Premium with 10.25" Gen5W display. The car is assembled in Czech and is made for EU market. As dealer said those vehicles are made for Ukraine market, but due to current situation there, Hyundai decided to forward quotas to Kazakhstan without any mods to the car.

What I now have here is a brand new dealer car in Kazakhstan, with EU maps in it I suppose, as I only can see a blank screen with blue arrow and a horizon. On the biggest screen there is for an i30. Basically it is useless, as I only can use Radio and Bluetooth media, for which I don't even need a display, and some car settings. As for Android Auto - I have a Huawei P50 Pro with Emui 12, which doesn't support Google services, nor I want to downgrade to Emui 10, as its also quite a hussle.

So for me, there is no way of having a local map on the car display. Or are there any ways?
- install Google maps, 2gis, Here maps apks with predownloaded maps may be?
- delete preinstalled maps and download tomtom maps for CIS? Doubt there are any for KZ, but still. No SD though, USB only.
- some sort of phone screen mirroring via usb?

As for warranty, well I don't want to brick Radio or Bluetooth functions and car settings, but will accept warranty void on satnav, as there isn't one. There's also an update for my FW, but its for EU, not CIS.
That was my question. Any suggestions please?

The answer was here somewhere page 40 or something need to take the time to read and collate everything into a new thread honestly....
But i believe only russian made units use linux not android.
So like i said; as long as you have correct file for your car given to you by the navi download software, you should have no trouble flashing different market software, if you wish to double check try searching something like linux in this thread as it isnt used much so you might find that list.

We are trying to renew this thread ,got things in works ,might make new thread as its full of dealership questions like these... your car is brand new not much data on brand new cars..
You can upload your update file and we can reverse it to get your engineering codes,well xak can i could if they would ever tell me how to convert dos dates lol.. stackoverflow isnt being much help

Root device or if thats too difficult.. use apkmirror or whichever you prefer to download the four necessary apps for android auto to work , Google, maps, tts, and uh can't remember, recovering from the 'vid so my memory is kinda shot.. i usually disable all google bloat but those five apps are all you need. Also have to disconnect from vpn when connecting but you can reconnect after.
