据News bitcoin 2月19日消息，为响应加拿大卡车司机自由车队（Freedom Convoy）抗议活动，美国卡车司机已组建了“人民车队”（People's Convoy）并接受加密货币捐赠。根据名为“美国公民自由与自由基金会”的捐赠网站显示，捐赠者可以通过信用卡、PayPal和加密货币进行捐款，目前支持比特币 (BTC) 和以太坊 (ETH)，截至2月18日星期五，捐款金额已超过10万美元。
据悉，加拿大卡车司机已持续多日进行及抗议活动，当地警方已致信加密交易平台要求关闭提供自由车队捐款的数字货币地址。V神对此评论称，加拿大利用银行压制抗议者是“危险的”，加密货币是对这种行为的潜在制约。此外，马斯克也对该事进行了调侃。
