It would be useful to know how many users are disabling the Picture-in-Picture toggle in Firefox.
Could we add a telemetry probe to detect if this feature is disabled?
Instrumenting code is up to the component being instrumented and should be self-service supported by Telemetry documentation. But do let us know if you have any questions.
v 76.0.1 I can PIP a facebook video but not a WebRTC video. I checked all PIP settings in about:config.
I do see the PIP graphic when I hover over the WebRTC video, but when I click it, nothing happens.
BTW, by default, PIP works in Chrome for WebRTC video.
This would be a good issue for our Outreachy intern to pickup.
Can a data steward please help us with reviewing this data collection request?

Using the category system of data types on the Mozilla wiki, what collection type of data do the requested measurements fall under?
Category 2, Interaction.
Is the data collection request for default-on or default-off?
Default on for all channels.
Does the instrumentation include the addition of any new identifiers?
