Opmantek to provide software support to Microsoft
Automated network management software to enterprise, telecommunications, and MSP organisations Opmantek has secured an agreement to provide software and support to Microsoft’s internal networks.
Opmantek says it will give Microsoft visibility over its network environment and the ability to monitor its equipment and devices all in one place. This agreement includes event configuration and compliance management.
“Opmantek is excited to help Microsoft with a thorough Linux-based management and monitoring solution, this partnership demonstrates that our technology is ideal for customers operating in any environment,” comments Opmantek CEO Craig Nelson.
Opmantek says Microsoft was impressed with its automated device discovery capability and detailed inventory of data centres.
The company will provide monitoring and alarming for all of Microsoft’s devices. It will also automate IP address management across all types of devices and network topologies and provide a flexible framework to automate troubleshooting and remediation.
“It is great to see the level of trust that an organisation such as Microsoft has in the Opmantek solution, and this partnership demonstrates that Australian companies have the ability to empower some of the biggest companies in the world,” says Opmantek chief technology officer Keith Sinclair.
“One of Opmantek’s key philosophies is to offer a flexible framework that can seamlessly fit into any network, Microsoft aligned with this and are able to gain detailed, in-depth monitoring and event management for all devices.”
Last July, Opmantek secured a contract to supply service to Nasa to assist the Artemis program which will land the first woman and first person of colour on to the moon.
Nasa also chose Opmantek for its ability to handle events in real-time in a mission critical setting. One of the key features of Opmantek is its flexibility to be used in any environment as well as their automated resolution of events.
Opmantek scales, replaces or consolidates older systems. It has the flexibility to deliver network visibility and automation regardless of the size, location and type of hardware and software infrastructure.
