Built as a standalone image proxying tool, imgproxy replaces all the image resizing code inside your web applications (such as image processing tools, or resizing libraries). It takes advantage of probably the most efficient image processing library out there—libvips. It is supersonically fast, plus it comes with a tiny memory footprint. And, thanks to libvips, we can quickly and promptly process a massive amount of images.
imgproxy is packaged in a finely-tuned and updated Docker image that's ready to be deployed to your production environment.
Unlike other image processing tools (where a number of different operations are required for installation) imgproxy just takes 3 steps to launch: 1️. Install imgproxy. 2️. Upload images directly to the cloud or your cluster. 3. Request images by specifying parameters in the request URL.

I have deployed imgproxy at Iconfinder, replacing a big monolithic structure that was causing us a lot of trouble. Imgproxy is super flexible to configure and bend to your own needs, easy to run and scales beautifully. I have worked with Sergey on a few processing issues and he was very responsive and made the product even better.
