iTutorGroup 回应 “将被平安集团秘密收购”：消息不属实

6 月 12 日，据 36 氪 报道，近日，平安集团欲以 5 亿美元收购在线教育独角兽 iTutorGroup，收购后，iTutorGroup 将成为平安子公司。如果收购完成，平安或将把 iTutorGroup 作为智慧教育板块的支点，搭建起整个在线教育业务，进军教育行业，构建其 “金融+生态” 战略。
对此，iTutorGroup 官方表示，以上消息不属实，不予置评。
据悉，iTutorGroup 成立于 1998 年，旗下有 TutorABC、vipJr、vipabc、TutorMing 等品牌，提供成人英语、中文及青少儿英语、数学、编程、语文等真人在线互动课程产品。目前拥有 3 万多名老师，每年提供超 3000 万节在线教育课程，服务人次达 1.8 亿，客户遍及全球 135 个国家和地区。
2014 年，iTutorGroup 便获得由阿里巴巴、淡马锡和启明创投共同投资的近 1 亿美元 B 轮融资；2015 年获得由新加坡政府投资公司、中俄基金、高盛、银翎资本及淡马锡的近 2 亿美元 C 轮融资；早在今年 2 月，iTutorGroup 董事长杨正大表示，iTutorGroup 已完成 pre IPO 轮融资，计划 2019 年底至 2020 年上市。
