Swift 5和Swift Playgrounds 3都值得期待。
自从 2014 年首次亮相以来，苹果的自主开发语言 Swift 已经有了很大的发展。随着 Swift 5 即将正式推出，苹果专门为教育领域而设计的 iPad 编程教学工具——Swift Playgrounds 也迎来了 3.0 测试版。
Swift Playgrounds 3.0 将基于 Swift 5 语言，此次主要测试其与 Swift 5 的完全兼容性。相对简单的发行说明表明，Swift Playgrounds 3.0 还新增一个新的源编辑器选项卡，并允许 Playground Books 保存“可以导入以供该书中任何页面使用的 Swift 代码和资源目录”。
苹果的 Swift Playgrounds 于 2016 年 6 月免费上线，已经进行过几次版本更新，逐步增加了语言支持、控制配件以及 ARKit 增强现实等功能。目前的公共版本是Playgrounds 2.2，它在很大程度上改进了以前的功能，如内容可发现性、触摸识别和虚拟键盘。
Swift Playgrounds 3.0 目前仅适用于 TestFlight 测试人员，但可能会与 Swift 5 一起向更广泛的公众提供，目前预计将在 4 月或 4 月左右进行最终测试。
