2013年12月29日，享誉全球的F1七冠王迈克尔·舒马赫在法国梅里贝勒滑雪度假村滑雪时发生意外导致头部受伤，最终被送往格勒诺布尔大学医疗中心医院进行紧急治疗。医生当时表示，舒马赫入院时脑部严重受创，检验后证实他头部右侧遭受重击。手术后检验查出，他脑部两边都有大范围损伤。
