PingWest品玩 9 月 29 日讯，引述MacX的消息，分析师Rod Hall 预测，Google今年成为 Safari浏览器的默认搜索引擎，需要向苹果支付 90 亿美元。明年，价格可能提高到 120 亿美元。2017 年，Google仅支付了 30 亿美元。
对于Google来说，成为iPhone和iPad的默认搜索引擎非常重要，毕竟Google的大部分收入来自搜索结果的广告。除了Google外，Safari 还支持将必应、雅虎或 DuckDuckGo作为搜索引擎，但一般用户不会进入设置中更改。
对于苹果来说，Google也成为公司服务业务营收的主要增长原因。
