If you are not familiar with Jigsaw , it’s a static site generator for Laravel Developers by Tighten. Over the weekendLaravel News podcast host, Michael Dyrynda (@michaeldyrynda) shared a screencast about setting up Jigsaw on Netlify in about ten minutes.

PHP-ers can user a site generator too. This is a nice intro to using @Netlify to generate and deploy sites made with @TightenCo 's PHP site generator: Jigsaw. https://t.co/WGK8W5J0ob

Michael demonstrates the setup, which has a few caveats such as configuring the correct version of PHP to work with Netlify and some other things that Netlify takes care of for you automatically:

How simple is the whole process? I set a ten minute time limit on myself to get from 0 lines of code, to deploying a TLS-enabled, CDN-hosted site on Netlify. Watch the whole thing in realtime below – including running NPM and Composer installs.

You can watch his setup video Running Tighten’s Jigsaw on Netlify .

We’ve heard a lot about Jigsaw lately—we recently featured Built with Jigsaw – the Ultimate Showcase of Web Sites Built with Jigsaw here on Laravel News and at Laracon US 2018 developer Chris Forrence used Jigsaw to live blog the conference talks. It’s never been a better time to check out both Jigsaw and Netlify!
